Principal's Message

Woods High School is one of two new Career Success Schools to open its doors during the 2009-10 school year. Woods offers a variety of programs including fitness, recording arts, and computers in addition to numerous other academic and elective classes taught by highly qualified/certified teachers. Also, our students have access to many other programs that are available at Career Success High School such as cosmetology, culinary arts, and medical assistance.

Woods High School students come from all over the valley to take part in our new and exciting educational programs. They also participate in competitive sports such as tackle football, volleyball, basketball, baseball, softball, and cheer. All of these opportunities are made available while students attend our safe and small school environment.

While most public schools have increased class size up to 35 students per class, Woods maintains a 20:1 student to teacher ratio allowing our teachers to provide more individualized instruction and personal attention. Our school week consists of four days of direct instruction and has Fridays designated for tutoring and making up any missed class work.

Woods High School is a tuition-free public charter high school that aligns all curriculum with the Arizona state standards allowing all of its students the opportunity to pursue post-secondary education including college, military, and trade schools. Like all Career Success Schools, Woods High School follows the strict guidelines set forth by North Central Accreditation in order to ensure that all students receive the quality education they deserve.
